The Bastard Blanket.

That is what it has come to. I have decided to hang up my knitting needles.

For good.

Once this thing is complete it will mark the end of my knitting career. It’s been that much fun.

This is an illustration of my current emotional state:

I really stand like this. Not only when I am using knitted blankets as target practice. My husband thinks it’s hilarious.

There is progress, and there have been changes due to technical issues too boring to go into.

Put on your sunglasses. There’s quite a glare.

The current situation:

No longer a rectangle. More of a square. Which is fine with me, since it’s hip to be square anyway.

The only part I’m not actually hating is crocheting the bits together. My crochet hook is safe.

For now.

  1. Love your drawing, it made me laugh. There are a few items in my home, namely the computer, which has often been threatened with being dragged into the yard to be used for target practice…so I get it :D. Your blanket-in-progress looks great…you can do this! The latter is what I tell myself every time I look at my crochet blanket-in-progress, now 30+ years worth of ‘in-progress’….beleive me, you CAN DO THIS. Thank you for the laughter! Peace.

So glad you enjoyed the drawing and can relate, ha ha! 🙂
Thanks for the vote of confidence, I hope you manage to finish your epic crochet blanket. Boy, 30 years is a lot of “in-progress”. I need to see this!
