Footwear Fridays

These here death-defying heels are not something that usually catch my eye.For that very reason shoes along these lines generally fall out of my radar.

I’m not sure how, but these snuck in.

Well done to them. That’s a difficult feat to achieve.

The Stella McCartney Kate ankle boots.

Thy pointy toe and snow white heel,

Thy leather coat as cool as steel.

Thy sky high heel may kill me quick,

I’ll take the risk to look this slick.

When I see heels, I am filled with a sense of gratitude towards our maker. I feel grateful that I am not a woman. I’m just not daring enough to be a woman.

Nor me. I justify it by saying that I have long legs (true) and therefore walk with long strides (true) and high heels just don’t work with that mode of locomotion. And then I run away quick smart on my low heels before anyone can disagree.

Lovely verse to match the shoe boots. They are nice looking, although I prefer leather, as opposed to vegan material, which Stella works with exclusively. With those very comfortable looking platforms, they’re practically running shoes for me. Another great post. Happy Friday. x

I prefer leather too. “Vegan” is just a posh way of saying “plastic”. I like the style but for me to pay lots of money leather is a deal breaker.
Glad you enjoyed the post 🙂

  4. AAAaahhhhh… I love your Friday Footwear posts. I hate shoe shopping, I get why it is done, but I hate the process. You make it so I can still get that ooooooo nice shoes feeling without having to spend money, waste time, or even leave the house.

They look totally Star Trek to me! I can see Nichelle Nichols wearing these with her little red Federation uniform.

  5. Wow! Never been much a fan of ankle boots, (on men or women), but these look like great “dramatic entrance” and “sit down” kind of heels. Love your posts, always entertaining and fuel for weekend fantasies (window shopping for shoes) ;D
